She was also responsible for growing the Southern African Impact Investing Network (SAIIN) to become a leading platform for knowledge sharing on impact investing in Southern Africa.

More recently, Salma has been consulting to a number of local and international development agencies, higher education institutions and non-profit organisations across sub-Saharan Africa and has access to a global network of institutions and individuals that play a significant role in driving socio-economic development in Africa. Although she has worked in a number of sectors, her key areas of interest are education, skills development and job creation. She is passionate about working with likeminded people to build a sustainable and inclusive global economy.
