Vicky-Marie Gibbons is a Partner at Bethnal Green Ventures (BGV). BGV is an impact investor for technology startups who are building transformational solutions to social and environmental problems. BGV has invested in 110 mission-driven startups, and ran 12 accelerator programmes.Vicky’s work spans across impact investment, technology, entrepreneurship and service design. In her role at BGV, Vicky leads the strategic design and execution of their startup support programmes, ensuring BGV is providing world-class support across their portfolio. In 2017, Vicky led the design and delivery of the TRANSFORM programme, in partnership with Unilever and the UK’s Government Department for International Development, where she directly mentored startups across Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. She has also worked closely with Facebook, where she launched Facebook’s first in-house incubator programme, called LDN_LAB. This programme worked with technology startups building communities for social good.Vicky previously worked at a service design company called Participle where she worked on projects tackling social isolation and unemployment. Vicky has studied Service Design at Copenhagen Institute of Integrative Design, and Politics and International Relations (BA) at University of Reading, UK.
